Royal Garden Champs-Elysées

The staff were super friendly, and I had a nice stay after being randomly upgraded for free to a two-bedroom apartment. The hotel is expensive, though, so I think breakfast should have been included. Otherwise, it was great.

The location was convenient, but the value just wasn't there, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. At €400 a night, I expected much more than a tired room, a mediocre breakfast, and a stay that felt closer to a two-star hotel than the one advertised. The online photos were misleading too, since the rooms look nothing like them. My room was very basic, the coffee machine didn't work, and the shower head wouldn't stay in its holder. I had booked a double but was given two single beds instead. I stayed three nights on a business trip and was very disappointed. In the hotel's response, which I read in January 2026, they said I booked ten minutes before check-in, explaining why they had two singles instead of a double. I made the reservation at least a month in advance. I've reduced my rating to one star because of that response, and would now definitely recommend staying away.

Everything was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The rooms were a good size, the staff welcoming, and breakfast was delicious. A pretty hotel in a great spot, central but peaceful.

The receptionist, Sarah, wouldn't return our belongings and treated us with complete disrespect. She even laughed while saying no, as though she was enjoying it. Her rude, unprofessional attitude was completely unacceptable in hospitality. We had three bad experiences with her, not just this one. This encounter was shocking and humiliating, especially at a four-star hotel that should care about guests. It ruined what could have been an enjoyable stay. I hope management takes this seriously so no one else has to go through the same thing.
