Secret de Paris - Hotel & Spa

The room felt a little small, but the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was easy and convenient. We enjoyed breakfast the next day. We stayed one night and had the full spa and massage experience. On arrival, they offered us a drink, and I chose a cappuccino. Then we were introduced to the hotel’s history.

The in-room jacuzzi was a real treat after walking around the city all day. The room was small, but perfectly workable for a couple on a stay under a week. One downside was the soundproofing, since hallway noise carries through and could bother light sleepers. Secret de Paris is handy for getting around, close to major sights and only a short walk from the metro. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, which made the stay more pleasant. I’m not used to buffet breakfasts, but I found enough to enjoy and had a filling start to the day. If you have allergies, especially to bread or dairy, or eat vegan, you may want to find breakfast elsewhere. For me, it was enjoyable. A cozy, romantic spot for a short Paris visit.

We booked late at Secret de Paris because our Airbnb wasn’t ready, and the hotel turned out to be an easy place to enjoy. The Moulin Rouge room is worth booking, you won’t be disappointed. It’s about a five-minute walk to the actual Moulin Rouge. We liked being in a local Parisian area that didn’t feel tourist centered, and the hotel gave us a more authentic feel for Paris culture. Taxis to the Eiffel Tower and other sights were under €20. We’ll stay here again next time.
