Solly Hôtel Paris

For our 6-night Paris trip, my spouse and I booked one of the small rooms since we don’t usually spend much time in the room. It worked fine for us, though one side of the bed was against a wall, so I had to climb in from the foot. I didn’t mind, but it wouldn’t suit someone with limited mobility. The room was well supplied, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and many popular sights are nearby. The Metro is half a block away, although that station has no lift or escalator. The hotel is old, so don’t expect lots of modern conveniences, and the lift is tiny. None of that bothered us; we thought it added charm. We’ll stay here again next time we visit Paris. If anyone in your party has mobility issues, check with the staff when booking to get a room that works for them. Thanks to everyone at Solly for making our stay extra special.

We really enjoyed staying here. Our room was spacious, and the renovated bathroom was clean, with marble finishes that were a nice touch. The front desk team gave great service, as other reviews have said. Edwige was especially friendly and helpful, and so was Paul. We’d definitely come back if we’re in Paris again.

The rooms were cozy and clean, with very comfortable beds, and the daily breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. The hotel is in a fantastic spot in the bustling Le Marais neighborhood, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Réaumur-Sébastopol and Strasbourg-Saint Denis stations are both an easy walk away. This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at across our three trips to Paris, and we’re already planning to return.

For Paris, some of the rooms are very small, but the location and service are great. I’ve stayed here a few times for short trips, and it’s worked well. If you want more space, ask for a room without a view or one with disability access; giving up the view can get you a room that’s quite spacious by Paris standards. I’m not sure I’d book a longer stay, though, because the pillows are pretty hard.
