Stella Etoile Hotel

After long days exploring Paris, it was nice to come back to a calm, comfortable place. The location felt perfect, close to everything, and I loved being able to walk almost everywhere from the heart of the city. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the rooms were clean, cozy, and very Parisian. I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Getting here from CDG was easy, with a direct train for only 14€ as of March 2026, and the nearby train line can take you all around Paris. It’s also close to the Arc de Triomphe, which was right outside our window, and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower area. We quickly took the train to the Notre Dame Cathedral area too. The rooms were clean and quaint, and the staff were wonderful and very friendly. Highly recommend!

I arrived from the United States with my infant and a confirmed reservation for two nights, but the receptionist’s dismissive, unprofessional manner made the situation confusing from the start. She didn’t ask my name or properly check the booking, assumed I was another guest, and made the confusion worse instead of sorting it out. Although my reservation was valid, she said I couldn’t stay because I hadn’t added my infant in advance. She refused to offer a solution or basic courtesy, told me I wouldn’t get a refund, and then refused to give me a manager’s name or let me speak to anyone else when I calmly asked. There were also ongoing disputes with other guests in the lobby, and I was wrongly connected to them. At one point she made an inappropriate comment implying “this is not America, this is Paris,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I was left stranded in a foreign city with a baby, without help, accountability, or basic customer service. It was a very disappointing and stressful experience. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially to international travelers or families. The whole thing showed a serious lack of professionalism, organization, and respect for guests.

It’s a small, cozy hotel with very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff are really nice and attentive, including the lady in charge of breakfast. It’s also close to the metro and the Arc de Triomphe. I highly recommend it.
