The church was closed when I visited. A century and a half after the Parisian movement 'la Commune', Parisians still won't be suppressed!

The view as you leave the train station.

This station opened on December 10, 1933, when the line was extended from Richelieu-Drouot to Porte de Montreuil. It's on line 9, serving part of the center of the 11th arrondissement, and connects with bus line 56.

We spent four days in Paris near this station with our two-year-old twins. It's clean, and the connections are excellent, so you can get almost anywhere with just one transfer. But the ticket machines wouldn't take cards because of a malfunction throughout our trip. There were no elevators or escalators, just one ramp going up. As far as I could tell, no other metro station has them except line 14. Managing two strollers there was a real challenge!
