We finished with lemon meringue pie and tarte tatin, both desserts they're known for. Earlier, my wife had the zucchini and goat cheese quiche, while I had the excellent beef tartare. The Chardonnay was exquisite too. We came across this family-owned place while walking through Le Marais, and it felt as authentic as it gets. Just remember, no fries, music or credit cards. This place is worth making an exception for.
The daily specials were lovely, and I felt really looked after while eating in this quaint restaurant. Great meal and atmosphere.
Amazing cakes, and Le monsieur is such a sweet, friendly person. It's a super calm, chill café in a small space, just right for 1-3 people.
The beef was fantastic, especially the steak, made with locally produced French beef. It felt cooked with love, like a home dish from family. They make their own cakes too, with a wonderful variety that changes each time. Patrick, who runs the bar, knows just which drink or wine will go with your meal. My partner and I felt at home in this small, authentic restaurant on our first visit, and I can see how regulars become friends. For a real French experience, don't miss it. It's the best in Paris for us.
We only stopped for a quick bite of quiche, but it was outstanding. The owner is a charming, welcoming man, and we were lucky to have a short chat with him. This authentic little restaurant in the heart of the hipster area is a real gem, with delicious food at quite low prices.
