Sublim by Sweet Inn Paris

We were unsure after seeing the Google rating, but booked through Airbnb and ended up very happy with the stay. Getting around was easy, with the metro right across the street and bars and restaurants a short walk away. Our sixth-floor room had a balcony and an incredible view. It was small but suited two people, and we liked having the toilet in its own room, separate from the shower. There was also a mini fridge, two complimentary bottles of water, and four pillows, which is more than we usually get. We’d read about shower flooding and smells, but neither was an issue for us. Maybe an odor could come in if the windows were open, given the metro across the street, but we didn’t notice any. We’d gladly stay again.

The metro station is right across the street, so I could get wherever I wanted. The Eiffel Tower is really close too. I walked there on my first night, about 10 minutes, with music on and my AirPods in. The tree-lined route was lovely. My stay was perfect. The room was very clean and tidy, everything was well organized, and the staff were sincere and seemed to love their jobs. Everyone working there seemed happy.

A big thank you to Kaina at reception. She went above and beyond when we were in a really stressful situation. Her French and persistence made a huge difference, and without her help we’d have been in a very different situation. If you need help in Paris, she’s the receptionist to ask for. The room and reception were cosy and comfortable, and the location was incredible, right opposite the metro and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. We could see the tower from our balcony. The bed was big and comfortable, and there was a small breakfast to take along while heading out to explore.

The balcony had a great view of the Eiffel Tower, and the bed was comfortable. But the room smelled as if someone had smoked in it and the smell was covered with fragrance. The carpet was dirty too. The hotel has an elevator. The check-in instructions said our floor wasn’t served by it, so we emailed the hotel and got a quick reply. Thankfully, that was an error and the lift went all the way to our room.
