The Hoxton Paris

Wilbi made our first family visit to The Hoxton Paris especially easy. He was professional but approachable, genuinely attentive, and quick to help, which made the welcome feel relaxed and warm. We had a great evening, and everything felt well handled. We’ll definitely come back.

The rooms are well equipped, though on the small side, and the location is good. There’s a lot of space downstairs, with an atrium, a restaurant and two bars where plenty of young people hang out with their laptops and iPads. It has a cool feel, but probably won’t suit older guests looking for peace and quiet. I enjoyed it and would stay again when I’m in Paris.

We found The Hoxton through Google Reviews and were glad we did. The location worked really well: there’s a Metro entrance about a two-minute walk away, lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and you can walk to major sights too. The Louvre took us around 25 minutes on foot. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. My wife especially appreciated how clean everything was, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We also had an excellent breakfast at the restaurant on the ground floor. The hotel has a fun atmosphere, with lots of working professionals having meetings, coffee or a bite. I’d recommend it and would happily stay again.

The staff around the hotel were nice, though service in the attached restaurant was extremely slow. The Amex Hotel Collection credit can only be used at one of the three dining and drinking venues on site. I liked the room’s design, but found it short on practical details. The shower lip is very low and there’s no curtain or glass, so water ended up all over the bathroom. A few spots in the shower also looked like they might be mold. The cobblestone entrance makes for a bit of a trek to reception and was awkward with rolling luggage.
