4/10
The welcome was warm and friendly, and the neighborhood is quite nice, though the hotel is a bit hidden. It feels cozy, but dated, and the guest rooms are in horrible condition. The toilets wouldn’t flush properly. The shower leaked through loose tiles, the shower head was loose, and there was exposed plumbing covered with tape.

Ask ahead for a room with a window. Ours had wood flooring and was clean, and the area itself was quiet. There are fresh fruit and food shops around the corner, public transport is easy to reach, and the staff were great.

For a one-night stay, it was perfect, but I wouldn’t stay longer than a weekend. We didn’t have complaints, though I definitely wouldn’t call it four stars. Our first room smelled of cigarette smoke, and the staff were very nice about moving us. The building is a little run-down overall, but it works. These kinds of details feel avoidable.

The rooms were decent, and the location was great. Breakfast was disappointing: the buffet didn’t have all the food, including cheese, meats, and pastries, until 8:30, which was too late for us. They also had no ironing boards available.

I’ve never stayed somewhere worse. There were no slippers or robe, and they gave me the plastic key card in a crumpled bit of paper, like it was garbage. They added €100 at check-in without warning, plus a €9 tax. And they call this a four-star hotel?
