Villa des Ambassadeurs

The room was a decent size for Paris and fairly clean, and the hotel is handy for both buses and the metro. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Noise was the big problem: traffic, lifts, doors banging, and people talking in nearby rooms all came through, especially at night. Staff were okay, though neither especially warm nor helpful. Rooms 101 and 102 are beside the lift in the lobby, and, as other reviews say, they’re even noisier.

Ask for an upstairs room if you stay. One is right by the tiny reception, which really isn’t an option. I was in room 204, and at night there was a loud, disturbing noise every minute, like water moving through a pipe. I’m not sure whether everyone can hear it. The place was clean, but dated and very small, with a tiny bathroom, no bathtub, no minibar, and limited room service. It’s a hotel in a house.

The location was perfect, about a five-minute walk to trocadero, and the neighborhood was clean and pleasant. Our room was very clean and small, which is normal in Paris, and we were really satisfied with it. I stayed at villa des ambassadors for three nights, and the service was the highlight. Eleanor answered all my questions by email and was a great help. Luis was very friendly and easy to ask anything. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Great price and location, and the staff were friendly. But room 101 is right across from the lift, basically in the small hotel lobby, and the sound carries terribly. You hear guests arriving at 1am, mopeds outside, even the night porter squeaking in their chair while browsing TikTok. A nightmare if you can’t sleep.
