Villa Royale Montsouris

My girlfriend was staying there, and even though I was on the other side of Europe, the staff helped arrange a small surprise bouquet for her. They were amazing and made it happen. She was so happy with the flowers, and I think we can both give the hotel five stars 🤩

We had a very pleasant stay and would come back. The welcome was lovely, and the staff explained what was going on at the hotel and what was available. They were really accommodating. There was a school trip staying too, so the hotel offered us breakfast for free because they worried the group might be noisy. I hardly heard them, so that wasn't a problem. The room had a few surprises. It was tiny, with a view of an emergency stairwell, and the bathroom door locked me in the first time I used it. The latch needed a screw tightened, and luckily my partner could open it from outside. I would have freaked out otherwise. I included a photo of the door to show what I mean. The electrics were confusing too: the lamps were plugged into sockets that were always on, while the spare outlets were controlled by wall switches. Once I figured that out, things were okay. Breakfast was pretty mediocre. For Paris, I expected better, and the pastries were no better than the packaged ones from an English supermarket. Still, we walked a little toward central Paris, found an amazing bakery, and really enjoyed our weekend away.

The location was a real highlight, with public transport only a couple of minutes away on foot. You can take one bus to the Eiffel Tower or use the metro to get around to the attractions. The hotel was lovely and clean, and everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming.

A comfortable, pleasant hotel in a quiet spot, close enough to walk to everyday essentials like groceries, cafés, a pharmacy, and the metro. The staff welcomed me warmly and kept my bags for several hours after checkout while I waited for my late flight. I'd happily stay here again.
