Hôtel Windsor Home

This is a cute, quaint hotel in a good spot, an easy walk from the Eiffel Tower. The staff were nice and helpful. But there’s no air-conditioning. I stayed for work during the heat wave in the first week of July 2025, and it was horrendous. The hotel tried to help with fans, but they weren’t enough, and I couldn’t get a proper night’s sleep. If you need air-conditioning to sleep, I’d stay somewhere else.

The old French charm of the hotel appealed to me. It’s a 9-minute walk to the metro, with several other stations nearby, plus grocery shops and nice places to eat. Staff were nice, and breakfast was simple. The woman who prepares breakfast also cleans the rooms, and she’s the nicest person, always smiling. She cleaned my room every day. My room had a moldy smell at first, though it eventually faded. The bathroom was split between two rooms, one with only a toilet and the other with a shower and sink. Other rooms may be set up differently. There’s a fan, but no A/C, and the hotel has no elevator.

This is a small hotel in a convenient part of the 16th arrondissement, though it’s a fair walk to the metro. The building is old, with three floors and stairs but no elevator. The furniture is vintage and there’s parquet flooring. I think it could use renovation. The rooms are generally small but clean, with the essentials like a fridge, hairdryer, and TV. Breakfast didn’t appeal to me because the selection was very limited. It could suit someone looking for a simple, affordable place in a good district who doesn’t mind walking.

We came to Paris from America after a problem with our ArBnB, worried and not knowing the area. We stumbled on this hotel, where a friendly lady welcomed us and had a room ready within minutes. We stayed for two nights and were so grateful to have found a welcoming place with a comfortable bed while we enjoyed Paris. It’s in a quiet part of Paris, only minutes from the Effle Tower, with lots of local markets and restaurants nearby.
