WS Jardin du Luxembourg - Boissonade

I never stayed at or checked into either property, but I still haven’t received my refund. It’s been two weeks, and I have to chase them every day. Their explanations keep changing: first they thought I had stayed, then they said I’d demanded early check-in, and then they claimed I hadn’t followed instructions to go to another location. I have screenshots showing those excuses are wrong. They also wouldn’t put me through to a manager. The online photos of both places are extremely misleading. After I raised that, they uploaded one new photo of the outside, but it still didn’t show the construction dump we found. I booked another hotel after the second property made me feel unsafe, and WS initially said they understood and would process a refund. That property’s corridor smelled strongly of mould, felt claustrophobic, and had damp walls. The mat in front of the tiny lift and the inside of the lift were damp and smelled even worse. There was no phone reception, and with my asthma I felt uneasy and light-headed just from being in the corridor, so I left straight away. Getting there had already cost me a taxi across Paris: after telling me that morning on Booking.com that the first property was a construction site and the room wouldn’t be ready until after 5pm, they eventually sent another address and entry codes for a 3pm check-in. I’d needed the room by 3pm for an event and dinner I’d already booked and paid for. While waiting for an answer, they only responded on WhatsApp and took their time. With nowhere else to go, I went to the first address with my international luggage. It was a full construction site, with dirt and mud up to the door. I wasn’t about to drag heavy luggage through the mud, especially with rain every day that time of year. The second place was even worse than the first. The location they first gave me was due to have a room ready only after 5pm, despite the advertised 3pm check-in. The whole experience felt unsanitary and claustrophobic, with no reception, and the company’s handling of it was extremely unprofessional. They ruined my holiday and kept my money. Do yourself a favour and avoid every “WS” property location.

The rooms are cute, and breakfast comes in an interesting box delivered right to your door.

Very close to the station. It’s a cool place, but there are lots of different floor levels, so watch your step.

I loved the apartment, its location, the cleanliness, and the customer service. I’ll definitely be back to the same place next month.
