WS Louvre - Saint-Roch

Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, and we were told the cleaner was “slow,” so we had to wait until 5 PM. They offered just an extra hour for checkout, but when we finally got inside, the room was still dirty. On departure day, we came back for our luggage and the cleaner glared at us, ignored our greeting, and wouldn’t let us sort through our belongings. She kept us in a tiny corner and complained whenever we touched our own things. I’ve never had hospitality staff treat me with such a miserable, combative, and disrespectful attitude. Dirty rooms, very rude staff, and no hospitality at all. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The room is very small, but it was a great stay thanks to the excellent location.

The balcony was small, but I had a lovely view from it. The room was clean and well equipped, and the price was attractive. You do have to be okay with there being no physical reception area.

The shower barely put out any water, and it made incredibly loud noises, so it was almost impossible to shower properly. The room was quite noisy at night too, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep. There were a few other downsides: the blanket was rather small for two people, and the TV had only a handful of French channels. The room itself was cute, and the staff were very friendly when I called, but nobody replied to my email question. With no reception, paying the city tax by leaving the amount in the mailbox was inconvenient. We were lucky to have the exact cash. Even so, we’d definitely come back, since the price and location were unbeatable. :)
