Best Western Premier Hotel des Vignes et des Anges

We were a group of 17 and stayed for two nights, including dinner at the restaurant. Every staff member was welcoming, smiling, and eager to help, which made a big impression on us. I'm glad I got an email asking for a review because I wanted to say how brilliant the whole team was. Thank you all.

I stayed in the separate building, where the newly installed elevator wasn't working, so getting my bags around was a bit of a hassle. My room was very small, but clean and well equipped. The hotel has been recently renovated. Staff were friendly and professional, breakfast was excellent, and I also had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant.

We were stranded in Pauillac after the taxi never turned up at the vineyard we had visited. On New Year's Day, with nowhere else in town open, the team at Des Vignes Des Anges went out of their way to look after us. The director even came to help at 10 p.m. on a holiday, and they found us a taxi back in the morning. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I'd return just for the staff's hospitality. Thank you for being so helpful and wonderful. Highly recommend.

The rooms were fantastic, and the staff were great and very helpful. I was less impressed by the evening meal: two dishes we asked for were supposedly finished, but then we saw other tables having them. A few items tasted and felt more reheated than fresh. Breakfast was okay but limited, so I wouldn't book it. Still, the place and its staff were great overall. A solid four-star hotel.
