I entered the wrong check-in dates when booking a room for a day. Within 5 mins, I called Expedia to cancel and asked for a full refund so I could book again. After trying to reach the hotel for 3 days, Expedia told me the cancellation policy was strict and I wouldn’t get my money back. It feels like they’re happy to keep my money even though they haven’t earned it.

For work, this was quite possibly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. I spent 10 days working around the area, and it was a pleasure coming back each evening. I usually find independent hotels hit and miss, but L’Aiglon was simply incredible. Nathalie and Patrick were amazing hosts, there whenever I needed help or advice while giving me my space. The room had everything I needed: parking, air conditioning, blackout blinds, a desk, lots of plugs, a comfy bed and an amazing shower. Everything was so clean, and it was very quiet at night. I also enjoyed the terrace in the morning and evening sun. Breakfast was lovely and refreshingly simple, with croissant, cereal, tea, juice and fruit. The restaurant was spotless and quiet. There are plenty of restaurants nearby serving great food, and the hotel has its own restaurant too, which I’m sure would be delicious. When my trip was extended, Nathalie let me use their washing machine and drier at no extra charge. She even brought my clothes in when it started raining while I was at work. Those thoughtful touches made staying there a joy. It was a pleasure to come back from work and know everything would be as expected. If I’m working in the area again, I’ll stay there. Thank you!

The rooms are new and okay, and there’s parking. Breakfast could be a bit better.

The restaurant is nice and the food is good, though it could be better.
