We were already on our way when, a couple of hours after booking a room for two and paying through Hotels.com, we got a chat message saying every room was taken and we needed to cancel. The booking was paid for, but cancelling wasn't possible and the money had left our account. The hotel's communication was awful: after a few brief messages, they stopped replying. We complained to Hotels.com and got the money back weeks later, but we still had to spend that night somewhere we hadn't wanted to stay. You didn't do your job properly.

The place is quiet, and the room was clean and pleasant. The owner was charming and attentive, and breakfast in the morning room was nice. The soundproofing could be better. There's a remarkable garden 300 meters away that's worth visiting. Recommended.

I celebrated my 70th birthday here, and it was fantastic. The welcome was exceptionally kind, and service was impeccable. We had hearty traditional meals made with local farm produce, cooked to perfection. The location is quiet, with a vaulted room in the basement where guests could relax and watch videos. There are four bedrooms, each with a room and kitchenette downstairs, and breakfast is served individually at the table.

The vaulted basement room was beautiful, and the meal for our Sunday birthday lunch was delicious, with very generous portions of fresh local produce. There were 24 of us, though, and the noise made it really hard to follow the conversation.
