Yelloh Village La Plage

We stayed for eight nights in early August, a family of three from the UK in our campervan. Our pitch was one of the smaller ones, but it was fine for us, and its spot within the site worked well. We really enjoyed the pools and kids club. The evening entertainment was okay, and the animations team put in lots of effort, though we liked it less than at another Yelloh site we visited a couple of years ago. The bathrooms and toilets were fine and clean for a beachside campsite. They can't be spotless every hour of the day. The onsite shop was pretty basic, even by campsite standards, but the morning bread and pastries were nice. I couldn't find a reason to give it less than five stars. It seemed to run on trust, as everyone using the facilities appeared to be staying there or wearing a wristband. We never saw anyone checking for one.

The chalet was supposed to sleep five, but it felt too small, and the windows really should have mosquito proofing. Otherwise, I can't fault this place. Everything was spotless, and the campsite was great, with an excellent pool, fun slides, a great restaurant, table tennis, soccer, mini golf, and bouncy castles. The beautiful beach was just a one minute walk away.

The beach is wonderful and sparkling ✨️, and the snack bar is good value. Hiring a bike for the week is very reasonable at 72 euros. The spacious indoor pool is heated to a very pleasant temperature. A fantastic campsite.

The location is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and both the pool and accommodation were clean. We sometimes had trouble getting steady hot water in the shower. It would swing between scalding hot and cold. The onsite restaurant was another disappointment. My husband ordered fish and chips and I had fish of the day. Both were thin haddock fillets, and quite clearly frozen, which was a shame with fresh fish coming straight from the boats in the neighbouring port of Guilvenec. Aside from that, we can't fault the resort and would love to return, next time with our bicycles.
