Lud Hotel

The smell is terrible, and the hotel feels really outdated. The price isn't cheap either. At least it was only one night.

Breakfast is very reasonably priced, though the room itself costs a bit too much. The owners are trying, but you can barely notice their efforts. This hotel must have been top-notch 20 years ago, but now it badly needs renovation. The bathtub is also the shower, with no curtain, so the bathroom gets quite wet no matter how carefully you shower.

The pool was a lovely place to unwind after exploring the region, and the grounds are magnificent, lush, and perfectly maintained. It all gave us the feeling of being in the heart of the South of France. We absolutely loved the Lud Hotel, an affordable, relaxing spot just 10 minutes from Beaune, and it would work so well for a family holiday. The rooms may look a little dated, but they're comfortable, with high-quality bedding, and we really felt at home. Everything was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Excellent value for money, and we'll keep it in mind for our next trips to Burgundy.

The location is fairly good, and that's the only positive thing I can say. It looks more like an abandoned building than a hotel, with old-fashioned decor and layout, a strong musty smell, and no significant investment for years. The rooms are filthy, with uncleaned walls, numerous cobwebs, stained mattresses, and more. There's no air conditioning, and it's around 35 degrees Celsius in the rooms. The breakfast is typical chain fare, with disgusting croissants.
