La Loge de Mer - Lodge Urbain

We left feeling extremely upset by the way this was handled. At first the clean, pleasant, modern decor impressed us, but the room we booked on booking.com, type "water," was described as having a balcony, a terrace, and a minibar. There was no balcony or minibar, just a tiny window facing a rooftop, which booking.com apparently calls a "city view." There was a large shared indoor room outside the bedroom that might conceivably count as a terrace. The listing was very misleading. When we raised this with the owner, she became aggressive and said there was no problem with the description. She eventually agreed to refund us and waive the cancellation fee. Her final words were that I lacked respect and that she was sure I would remember her to my grave. It was an extremely unpleasant experience.

I arrived by bike and had a great time. The place is central, and the facilities are spacious, clean, modern, and secure. I plan to stop here again on my next bike trip through.

The two-bedroom place was great, with an excellent location and a spectacular kitchen. One small thing bothered us: we left food in the shared kitchen, then found some chips and peanuts missing when we came back.

We had trouble finding parking near the property, even with Waze. We couldn't get close to the entrance to unload our bags, and the nearby streets were full too. After searching without luck, we used paid parking, which I'd suggest doing. The place itself was very clean and pleasant, with a private terrace and an outdoor spa that worked when the weather was nice. Our host welcomed us warmly, and despite booking at the last minute, the service was more than adequate. It's a relaxing spot in the heart of Perpignan, in a lovely neighborhood with excellent restaurants nearby. Thank you to our hosts, Jamila and Eric, who run the establishment. I highly recommend it. I selected five stars, though I see the rating isn't showing. For us, it's 5/5. Jamila
