Residence L'Archipel

This is a solid three-star place, edging toward four, and I'd recommend it with one big caveat about the balconies for families with small kids. Our first apartment on the third floor was roasting hot in September, and with three young children we couldn't open the windows or balcony doors because the barriers seemed low to me. We asked to move the next morning and were given 's ground floor Apartment, which was lovely. We arrived late on Friday and got the key from a safe. The accommodation is clean and tidy, with good bedrooms and storage, and towels are provided. The kitchen has a hob, pots and a dishwasher, but no cooker, which seems common in France. The cooking area and sink are both tiny. Fresh bread can be ordered at Reception the day before and arrives at 9am. WiFi is free for residents, but too slow for streaming. Faster broadband is available for €25 for the week. The pool is clean and kept that way. It's outdoors, so probably best in summer, but it's a good facility. The location by the beach works really well for a walking holiday. Local restaurants seemed a little overpriced for seafood, and supermarkets are in town, about a 7-minute drive away.
