We paid for the rental when booking, and Booking.com had requested a €200 card imprint before check-in. We wrote to the owner, who was no longer reachable, as well as to Booking.com and Swikly. Booking.com kept siding with the owner, and we lost the money. I also sent several letters to consumer protection groups and hope that might help future tenants. Booking is finished for us unless they do a thorough inventory, signed before and after the stay. Avoid them and report them.
