Best Western Sevan Parc Hotel

The staff were lovely, but I’d avoid booking a standard room. We used points for one and were surprised by what we got: a grasshopper-sized mosquito in the bathroom, and a bathtub shower with such a tiny screen that water went everywhere. The room looked untouched since the 90s, the fridge had been taken out, and there was no air conditioning because it was May. Unless you fancy showering on all fours, book at least a superior room.

If you need normal service or don’t have a car, I wouldn’t stay here. We checked out on Sunday and there was no Uber or public transport available. The receptionist was no help at all and couldn’t tell us the local bus times, even though the schedule was posted less than 10 metres from the desk, by the bus stop. In the end we walked 40 minutes in the heat to Pertuis bus station because they couldn’t or wouldn’t find us another option. A horrible experience.

The room was clean, and we enjoyed the lovely garden and big pool during a generally pleasant stay. Most of the staff were very helpful. One man, probably the person in charge of breakfast, turned rude once he realized we were foreigners. I found it unacceptable that he showed no respect and wouldn’t even answer our “bonjour.”

The rooms and grounds are lovely, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want a quiet night. There’s a DJ in the garden playing incredibly loud music until 1 a.m., making sleep impossible. Several people politely asked for the volume to be lowered so we could sleep, but they refused, saying the law allowed loud music until 11 p.m.
