Gites Couvent des Ursulines

Nine moms spent a wonderful week in Pezenas at Couvent des Ursulines. Three of us stayed in Octopus, and the accommodation was great, with lovely lighting and decor, a well-equipped kitchen, nice bedrooms, and comfortable beds and bedding. Just be aware that its two bedrooms are on the third floor, reached by a spiral staircase. The place was amazing, though, and we were fine with the stairs. We had individual AC units in our room. Our accommodation had two full bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom, plus another bedroom on the second level with a curtain and a full bathroom downstairs. The courtyard was beautiful. It was fun seeing other families using the BBQ grill and kids playing bocce outside. Everything was very central, close to downtown and the local market, which we had a lot of fun visiting. There were fresh vegetables, fruits, paella, desserts, crafts, and trinkets. We also had loads of restaurant choices. Our favorites were Aux Bons Vivants and L'Atelier Pezenas, where Joann the owner was so gracious. A special shout-out to Warren, who met us at check-in and was very helpful and nice. We’d definitely come back!

The courtyard is stunning, the decor is lovely, and the beds are cozy. It’s a beautiful property with all the amenities you’ll need, and management were welcoming and quick to respond to our needs. Highly recommend!

The location was hard to beat. Across the main road, we could easily walk to charming shops and wonderful family-run restaurants. We stayed in Aura, and the guest house was comfortable and convenient, with really comfortable bedding. Modern touches like a clothes washer, fully prepared kitchen, and dishwasher made it easy to settle in and feel at home. Every detail had been considered. We had an amazing stay at the Couvent and would absolutely return. Highly recommend it for a relaxing stay in the south of France.

We felt lucky to stay in this historic place. The gardens were a highlight, and the apartment was comfortable and well equipped for a family holiday, in a beautiful spot in a charming town.
