The setting is lovely, peaceful, and just as idyllic as you'd hope. The welcome, though, left me feeling very unwelcome, and I wouldn't stay here again. After a long drive, we arrived about 2h before check-in, which I think was at 5 pm. We apologized for being early and said we didn't need the room yet, just asked if we could leave our bags and spend some time outside by the pool. The lady seemed surprised to see us, almost as if we had no reservation. She told us the pool was private, for guests only, and sent us away. I honestly didn't know whether to laugh or cancel the stay and leave. The owner didn't seem suited to hosting. It's a beautiful place, but we didn't feel welcome.

This is a wonderful place, and I'll definitely come back. The surroundings have a real Provençal feel and offer great inspiration for photographers, painters, designers, and other artists. Le "Jas de Névieres" fits into this striking landscape of steep climbs and descents, with a simple style that still makes an impact. It's a very isolated spot, which is great if you're looking to get away from city life. Just know you'll need to travel a few kilometers to reach places and towns, and connectivity is poor, sometimes completely absent. The rooms are small, cozy, and well designed, though a little too dark. Lunch and dinner aren't served, but breakfast is generous and healthy, with some items made by the owner. There are several places nearby for lunch and dinner, and they'll surely recommend some to you.
