La Cite suspendue

A wonderful spot for a day or two, and I recommend staying here if you're visiting park asterix. The staff were the most friendly and excellent I’ve ever encountered on my travels, and the manager was superb.

Breakfast had lots of options and was very nice, served in the reception area, which also has a small bar. The welcome was warm and efficient, and every staff member we met was lovely and made the trip even better. La Cité Suspendue has a beautiful woodland atmosphere, with trees and foliage all around. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds, a nice bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the view. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the theme park, making access very easy. I was here recently for my second visit to Parc Astérix, and would highly recommend booking a night or two at this fantastic hotel.

The suspended-city theme gives the place a magical feel. I loved strolling along the raised walkways and taking in the woodland from the balcony during my pleasant two-night stay. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and well furnished. Both buffet meals, breakfast and dinner, were very good quality with lots to choose from. Everyone on staff was friendly and clearly passionate about their work. I’d gladly return when visiting Parc Astérix again.

We really enjoyed our two nights here in June 2025. The room was comfortable, the balcony had scenic views, and the location is perfect for the park. Breakfast and dinner had a nice range of dishes, but as a coeliac I found no effort had been made around food allergens, just like the rest of the park. I had to pick out foods without sauces that were naturally gluten free. It’s also a pity there’s no shop on site for water, snacks, toiletries, and other basics. The park is missing an obvious essential service for guests. Bottled water costs over €4 and is only available at reception. They could leave a bottle in the room, especially for guests arriving by airport shuttle with no chance to stop at a supermarket first. Drinks at the bar are extremely overpriced, too. The stay and park tickets were very good value in June. I’d highly recommend this lovely hotel for couples, families, really anyone, though people with mobility issues should request a ground-floor room. I’d definitely return on our next trip to Parc Asterix. We have to ride Toutatis again!
