Le Mas d'Olivier

The location works really well for us: it's away from the bustle, but St. Maxime is only about a 15-minute drive and puts you right in the middle of things. We've stayed at Le Mas d'Olivier several times and always get a warm welcome from the hostess. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the breakfast is delicious, and the inviting, well-kept atmosphere makes it easy to relax and enjoy the holiday. We'll be back again.

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, and the welcome was warm. Unfortunately, that was the best part of our stay. We had a small cottage for four nights with a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and private terrace, but the terrace and chairs were dirty when we arrived, and the barbecue looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. We didn't use the terrace at all. The bathroom was cramped and impractical, and there was a dirty dish sponge and an empty soap dispenser. It all felt short on care and attention. We once stayed at a similar place a short walk away that was much better for about the same price. We can't recommend this one for the condition or the price we paid.

The upstairs room was spacious and had a lovely terrace, and the peaceful setting made for a wonderful stay. Mélanie was warm, kind, professional, and always available. We'd happily come back, and I highly recommend it.

The beautiful setting is well placed for exploring the surrounding area. We planned on staying one night but enjoyed it enough to add another. Even though we arrived late, the owners welcomed us warmly; we'd let them know ahead of time and arranging it was no trouble.
