We drove all the way there and only then found out the garden is closed on Wednesdays. The website didn't make that clear.

The owners are so sweet and kind. Each house has its own lovely garden, and they all open onto a leafy path with trees, a little pond, and small surprises tucked into the greenery. I still think ours has the prettiest garden. :) I can imagine the whole place looking even more alive in spring and summer. Inside, the house is pleasant, with practical, thoughtful details. It has all the cooking equipment you need, plus a washing machine and dishwasher. That's plenty. I don't want to make this place any more in demand. :))

The dry garden was a real highlight. It shows how beautiful plant combinations can be in full sun without water. Around the rest of the garden, the unusual plants are impressively large, and the paths and flowerbeds feel carefully planned and harmonious. A little gem, 'Berchigranges', and a real treat. The host is as wonderful as the garden, and the explanations were insightful. It's so close to Strasbourg, so why miss it? Well worth a visit, and worth coming back through the season. A perfect place to recharge. Thank you, Madam and Sir. I hope to see you again soon.

The cottage is spacious, comfortable, clean, and well equipped. It really feels like home. It sits on a property with a remarkable 6000 m² garden that's lovingly maintained, and you can park your car there too. We highly recommend it, especially as it's not far from Strasbourg.
