I enjoyed the restaurant food, both at dinner and breakfast. The dinner was very tasty and well made, with the best potimaron soup I've ever had and very tender veal. That's the one positive thing I want to highlight. I was staying at the Lancelot 3* hotel and nobody told me I had to collect my bedroom key at the 4* sister hotel. That felt like a wrong and unwelcoming process. The 3* building was isolated with no staff, and in winter it felt cold in temperature and atmosphere. The room was clean, but it took a while for the heating to warm it up. I won't return to the 3* hotel. I suppose the 4* one might be worth it, but when guests pay for a hotel, they should receive good service. It feels like the 3* guests are ignored. If the building can't be looked after, they should close it and focus on the 4* hotel.

The location overlooking a golf course and lake is great, and the property and room were clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the bed was comfortable, and there was good water pressure, a large desk, plenty of chairs, and generally good lighting, apart from a burned-out bathroom light. But the chair cushioning was worn, and a rubber sheet under the bedsheet made us sweat a lot at night. The WiFi kept cutting in and out. The shower head was too low, and the slippery shower floor had no grab bars, making it easy to slip and hit your head. Food at the bar wasn't worth eating, and there were flies throughout the dining and bar area. The dining room was too warm. The air conditioning was controlled by reception, so you had to ask them to switch it on even though there was a thermostat in the room. Why wasn't that explained at check-in? After staying in hundreds of European hotels over the past 10 years, I'd say this place could improve in several ways. It was OK for one night, but I wouldn't stay again.

The coffee machine in our room didn't work, and the toilet light was faulty. The restaurant was closed when we arrived, and the receptionist said we could get food at the bar. All they had to offer were poor sandwiches for 16 euros each. The waiter seemed overtired and could barely manage four tables.

The dinner was really good quality, we ate everything on our plates, and the spa was clean and very nice. Breakfast was a little disappointing, as were the room amenities. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, doing their best to make us feel comfortable. We had a very pleasant night and, all in all, a great stay. Thank you very much!

We had beautiful views over the lake during our 3-night half-board stay, and the staff in every area were excellent and very helpful. The food was out of this world, with fantastic flavours and excellent presentation. The bed felt a little too firm. A walk-in shower would have suited us better than one over the bath, though these were available in other rooms if you ask. Highly recommended, 10/10. Merci beaucoup. Paul & Ann
