Le Beausejour

The studio was roomy, clean, and nicely heated, and we were looked after warmly. Picking up the keys at the reception of a larger hotel 200m away wasn't an issue. The kitchenette could use a normal sponge and a dishcloth. Breakfast costs €13, but I didn't think it was worth it: just a few pastries, bread, jam, and cheese. If you show up 30 minutes before service ends, there's nothing left. I recommend the hotel.

The noise between floors is a real problem. You're walking over old floors with ancient carpeting, so whoever is upstairs can feel like a nightmare, and the same goes for the people below you. In the "luxury" studio, the furniture is shabby and damaged, and there are no sockets in the kitchenette. You have to carry your coffee maker, kettle, and toaster around to plug them in. The flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi may have sounded impressive in 2019, but the screen is only 48cm, and there isn't a comfortable chair to watch it from, just uncomfortable chairs with fabric of dubious cleanliness. Before leaving, you're expected to clean the studio, with one vacuum cleaner and one mop shared among 32 units, kept down in the basement. The brochures oversell this residence badly. There are no longer services on site, reception and catering are at the main hotel 400 meters away. Have a "Pleasant Stay."

Everything felt shut and empty as soon as we walked in, and there was no longer a reception desk. For reception and breakfast you have to head out into town to the main hotel. The place itself is extremely run-down: damaged table, stained chairs, and an empty tissue box. I regret staying here.

The thermal baths were an easy walk away, which was fantastic. We were very well accommodated on the 5th floor. The apartment was clean and warm, with a small kitchen and a large bathroom, and it had everything we needed for a short or medium stay.
