I spent three nights in room #112. The room had a sink and good beds, while the toilets and showers were in the shared area outside. That was fine to use. Reception is shared with Ibis Budget, and there's a broad selection of ideas for things to do around Brest. The breakfast is simple, and the stay is affordable. The staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful whenever I needed something. Soundproofing could be improved, though it usually wasn't an issue. Earplugs might be useful just in case. There was some lingering smoke smell even in the non-smoking room. It seemed to come from other guests rather than the hotel, was well masked, and shouldn't bother you unless you're very sensitive.

The breakfast was average, though that's about what you'd expect at a budget price. The stay was great value, and the automated check-in worked around the clock with a credit card. That kind of 24-hour check-in is surprisingly rare in France, given its development in other areas.

For a budget hotel, it felt more like a youth hostel. The rooms were incredibly basic, with just one power socket. There was a TV, but it only picked up French channels.

The shower and toilet are shared with everyone. We booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled like people had been smoking in there for years, and even our clothes picked up the smell.
