Hôtel Le Week-End

Super!

The food and service at the restaurant were excellent, with everything carefully prepared at a very reasonable price. The rooms feel quite dated, especially the bathroom, though dinner makes that easy to forget. Breakfast seemed a little expensive next to the evening meal. We booked through Expedia, and the owner quickly sorted out the bed issue. We were welcomed so warmly, almost like family.

After more than 30 minutes, I went to get my order and still had to wait again. It can take around half an hour to be served a drink. The bartender was keen to charge at the bar straight away, and given the speed of service, I can see why people might otherwise leave without their drinks. The lemonade service was catastrophic: my hot Perrier was much too expensive and came without ice. When it came to the disgusting lemonade shandy, there were no stocks, while beer was available. The shandy was badly mixed, and the glass was only two-thirds full. The drinks were very poor quality, and the service needs to improve for an establishment of this size.

The reception felt neglected, the manager was unpleasant, and the rooms were outdated. The restaurant is expensive for what you get, and the hotel is very poorly located. I'd avoid it. There are better hotels and restaurants right next door.
