Résidence Odalys Acqua Bella

We liked the pool and being so close to the sea. Paddleboards and canoes were available to use with a reservation, too. It’s a large, pretty, quiet residence in a good location. The concept works, but the place feels a little dated. The accommodation could use a few more things, like sun loungers, a toaster, and a hairdryer. It also should have been cleaner when we arrived.

The residence was quiet and close to the beach, but the apartment was in poor shape. The shower and dishwasher were clogged, the coffee maker still had coffee inside, and there were sauce stains in the microwave. The sofa and walls were dirty. I think reception should check the apartment and dishes more carefully before guests check out.

The outside setting was lovely, but our apartment was a different story. It smelled strongly of sewage for our whole stay, and we had to clean when we arrived: the handles and toilet were dirty, the floor was stained, and there was hair around. The kitchen barely had any equipment, with no toaster or dish rack. The women at reception were unfriendly and didn’t make us feel welcome. On our last morning, the cleaning lady woke us at 7:30 am by vacuuming in the next room. Such a shame.

We were eight in the family and stayed for two weeks. The location was ideal for activities, with the sea right next door, two pools, and good pétanque courts. The accommodation was well located and had useful features, but it was filthy and really not suited to a group our size. There was a dead fish in the pool, as shown in the picture. The restaurant was expensive and bad, and its pizza oven sent smoke and a stink throughout the residence. The alcoholic cocktails barely had any alcohol. The cat was cute but touchy. The pool closed at 8 pm even though no lifeguards were on duty. The place wasn’t equipped for eight people. The outdoor table had only six chairs, so we moved the indoor table outside to eat together. The receptionist scolded us for that makeshift arrangement. There was no oven, toaster, or coffee maker. The ceramic hob didn’t work at first, but a helpful technician replaced it quickly. Unfortunately, the new one took 45 minutes to boil water in a large pot. The fridge door had no spring, so it stayed open unless pushed firmly shut. The terrace roof was transparent, leaving us in full sun at every meal, and umbrellas were available for rent. The residence’s washing machines were tiny, expensive, and didn’t get anything clean. Mattresses and pillows were stained and had no protectors, and the water heater was too small for eight. Cleaning and hygiene were also awful. On arrival, the place was dirty, with dead mosquitoes on the ceiling, sand all over the floor, and a very dirty table. The bathroom smelled of sewage. Clothes left by previous tenants were still at the bottom of some cupboards. The receptionist confirmed the warm blankets hadn’t been washed.
