Des Deux Sorru

We only had one night here after hiking in the region, and wished we’d booked a longer stay. The terrace is beautiful, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. We were two couples and booked at the last minute, but the staff made us feel welcome and let us check in early. They helped us plan the next part of our hike, then even drove to catch up with us when we realized we’d left a charger behind. The setting is stunning, with probably lots to do around there.

The hotel is a great base for exploring Corsica, with rivers and walking routes starting from places not far away. We also really enjoyed the meals, prepared by a great chef in the morning and evening. It’s a very friendly place, and a wonderful spot to slow down and enjoy the quiet, with a lovely view across the valley to the steep mountains and villages on the other side.

The restaurant is a real highlight, with lots of authentic dishes to enjoy. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and I have no complaints about them. There’s plenty to do nearby, but the place itself is peaceful, with a really nice atmosphere and very friendly people. It feels like good value for the money, and I’d stay here again if I needed a place in the area.

The owners were really patient and friendly when I booked by phone, even though I don’t speak French very well. We stayed three nights with our two small kids for trekking and mountain views. The rooms feel a little dated, and the bathroom could use some renovation. Still, the excellent food, a mix of local Corsican and Mediterranean dishes, and the kindness of the owners and staff more than made up for that. They really looked after us and our special requests.
