ACE Hotel Poitiers

We've stayed here before and it's always been good for a stop on the way to Spain or back. It's close to the highway, with clean carpeted rooms, helpful reception staff, and easy, safe parking. There's a good restaurant three minutes away that gives a 10% discount, plus a great coffee and bakery spot just a minute away. The one drawback is that when two people are booked in, the room should have enough towels and cups for both. There's no coffee machine in reception that anyone can work.

I've stayed here eight times now, and the staff have always been helpful. The rooms are a very good size and have consistently been clean and comfortable. Breakfast has been very good value every time.

There are plenty of parking spaces, and the location is easy to find. The room was spacious, with a comfortable large double bed and a wall-mounted TV. A great place to stay.

I won't be coming back for a third stay. After avoiding this hotel for several years, I returned and they charged my card twice. It took almost a month and contacting Booking and others to deal with it. There was a breakfast mix-up too. The receptionist the night before told me twice that I could decide in the morning and come after 9, but at 9:40 I was told breakfast wasn't available. I was already wondering if they'd run out of bread or coffee. I understand, it took me five years to learn English too. But customer service takes some talent, and you shouldn't look scared that I'm going to come over and mess up the minutes you saved at work.
