Golf-side Sanctuary in Mazamet

The private pool was well maintained, and the maintenance worker was the only person who really tried to help. He was kind, attentive, and available, and took excellent care of the pool. A problem we had on arrival wasn't resolved for five days. We had to keep contacting both reception and the head office before it was finally sorted out. The service from the head office was poor, and the cleaning before our arrival was only superficial. The floor was only half cleaned, and there was hair all over the mattresses.

We had a very nice stay in the little villa. It was bright, with a clean pool and garden and plenty of space. The spot is secluded, so it was quiet apart from the neighbors. The villa could have been cleaner, and the man who welcomed us was incredibly rude. The lady at reception was very kind, though. A warmer welcome would have made the stay perfect.

The accommodations themselves were good, but our stay in Mazamet was a disaster. We booked with friends and were shocked to find the pool completely empty, despite sending lots of messages through the booking platform to check that it would be available. The receptionist laughed in our faces and treated us disrespectfully. After three days of negotiating, we finally got a goodwill gesture. Reception staff were unpleasant and disrespectful to guests. The person in charge of reception needs to be changed. Previous reviews suggest we're not the only ones who think so. Avoid at all costs!

The setting was lovely, with pleasant surroundings and a beautiful pool. But for the rental price, we expected much better amenities. The cleaning was very, very poor, the sofas, rugs, and bedding were dirty, and the appliances were on their last legs. The landscaping around the pool was outdated, too. Much better is what we expected for that price!
