It felt isolated and a bit spooky, and there was a smoky smell. I wasn't sure whether there were fire exits or alarms. For what is basically a self-service hostel, it was very expensive.

I never got a reply to my request to book this place through Booking.com for August 14th to 17th. Nothing at all. I suspect they only wanted full-week bookings because a shorter stay seemed less profitable, but if that's the policy, it should be clear from the start. People use Booking.com to find places that fit their dates, and not everyone can stay a whole week. Leaving a family waiting for three nights in the middle of summer, without even a short message to decline or explain, felt disrespectful. I couldn't judge the accommodation itself since I never stayed there. This one star is for the poor management and complete lack of communication. Such a shame.

The owner was friendly and welcoming, but I really wouldn't recommend the studio. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the steep stairs inside felt dangerous. It wasn't practical to use, either. There was a stale cigarette smell even with the windows open. The visible parts looked clean, though the rest left a lot to be desired. Breakfast wasn't fresh: bread, croissants, and brioches wrapped in plastic on a plate.

We picked this place at the last minute for one night because it was nearby. The owner was welcoming, though they only contacted us that evening to ask for the payment check. Breakfast was plentiful, the table had been set for the morning, and the dishes were clean. The rooms were another matter. The floor was sticky and dirty, and the bedside tables and lamps were dusty and clearly hadn't been cleaned. I didn't dare check under the beds. In my daughters' room, the TV cable hung loose and unprotected. The bathrooms were dirty too, including the little cupboard under one sink. I didn't want to use the hairdryer, and I wouldn't even step on the bath mats.

The welcome and breakfast were excellent, and the services were good too. Cleanliness was an issue in places, especially under the beds. I first thought what I saw was dog food, but it was far from that. I don't want to speculate, so I'll leave it at that. I did take photos, of course. I won't nitpick about the rest, though new pillows would be a good idea.
