Hôtel de la Poste

The waiter was pleasant and gave good advice. We expected the dishes to have more flavor, based on the reviews, but dinner was decent overall. Two of us ordered à la carte and one person chose a set menu. Service was very quick at first, so the starter arrived before we'd even finished our aperitifs. Later there was a long wait between the main course and dessert, probably because the restaurant was nearly full. We paid without checking the bill and only noticed later that the set menu had been charged as separate à la carte courses for the starter, main, and dessert. Remember to check your bill!

Lunch came to a reasonable 67 euros. We had a very good pike-perch fillet with vegetables and potato gratin, cheese, and a modern take on lemon tart. The two non-alcoholic aperitif cocktails were very refreshing. The waitress was friendly, and it's a very good restaurant. I only wish I'd ordered the butcher's cut, since the meat was European rather than French. Thank you.

We went for Valentine's Day. The dishes were excellent, portions generous, and the side dishes sophisticated. The staff were friendly, with a bit of humor we appreciated.

The meal was delicious, made with homemade and local products, and the room was clean and functional. I stayed overnight and recommend the establishment. The welcome was friendly and attentive. Thanks to Estelle for going out of her way to help. Her local knowledge meant we could get cheese from the Morel cheese shop even though it was closed. There's a sign for "La Poste", so stop by!
