The price was €14.90 per person, and everyone, from the owner to the staff, was very, very friendly. We left feeling happy and refreshed after an incredible meal. The Tabak bar looks modest from outside, but inside there’s a large, neatly arranged dining room and a terrace. We were three adults with a baby and stroller, and they seated us at a big shady table. The daily special came with a choice of three starters, two of them vegetarian, and two mains, pork or chicken. After that came five kinds of cheese with very good bread and salted butter, plus seven homemade desserts to choose from. We finished with espresso, and water and a glass of wine were included. The restaurant was busy with French guests only. Knowing a little French helps, as that’s the only language spoken.

It’s a friendly working-class restaurant with original homemade food and good value. The service is superb, and the bar has a welcoming feel too. The owner, waiter, and women in the restaurant are all smiling. Come discover it! ^^
