Best Western Pornic

We stayed three nights in June, and it was good value for money. There’s plenty of free parking, plus a 24-hour bar, room service, and bikes to rent directly from the hotel. The room was airy, clean, and spacious, with a large bathroom and rainfall shower, a very comfortable queen bed, and tea-making facilities. The air con was spectacular. Town is an easy drive, though we walked there a few times in about 30 minutes. Staff were friendly and helpful.

For our three nights visiting Pornic, this worked out well: free off-road parking and only a five-minute drive into the center. The receptionist gave us a detailed map since it was our first visit, and the staff were friendly. Our room was large, with a big bed, a desk area, and a good-sized shower room. The mattress was very soft. There’s a restaurant next door and a shopping center around the corner. Tip: booking through the hotel’s own website gets you the best rates.

Inside, the rooms and corridors feel modern and stylish, so you soon forget the hotel’s setting on an industrial estate beside warehouses. It’s actually convenient, just off the main road and a four-minute drive from the harbour, with all its restaurants and shops. Our room was really nice, with a fabulously comfortable bed, a desk to work at, a very good shower, sinks, and toilet. There was no noticeable road noise, the TV was a good size, and breakfast was good. A very pleasant stay and good value at €114 for two people with breakfast, ideal for business or a holiday.

The hotel is modern and lovely, just outside Pornic. The manager was charming, helpful, and full of useful information. Our room was large, spotless, and had tea and coffee facilities plus a small fridge. The air-conditioning worked well and was almost silent. Several places to eat are within walking distance, with plenty more nearby. Pornic itself is beautiful, with lots of parking around town, many restaurants and ice-cream parlours by the old harbour, and plenty of scenic walks.
