The team were the friendliest, most helpful staff we've come across, and the area was quiet. Our room and bathroom were roomy and very clean, with a lovely shower. The air conditioning in our room wasn't working, but staff brought us a portable fan, which made a big difference. There was a good fridge and handy tea making setup, plus secure free parking underground. Good value, and an easy drive into town.

The rooms are spacious and the hotel itself is excellent, but I felt the staff showed no respect for guests. The air conditioner worked for two days before it broke, and it still hasn't been repaired. I was told maintenance would come within two days, but nothing had been fixed by then. They kept giving excuses about the fault, and there were no fans available. Opening the window let insects in, and the heat made the room impossible to rest in. I ended up buying cooling fans myself so I could sleep.

At check-in, I asked whether there was a room on a higher floor. The receptionist said the hotel was fully booked, even though Booking showed plenty of rooms still available. I felt they were lying to me.

The room was spacious and the big screen had a really good picture, but the welcome at reception felt curt and put a damper on the overnight stay. The building isn't ancient, though some things feel dated. There was no USB socket, and the mattress sagged a bit.

We found the room and kitchen clean, stocked with the essentials, and everything worked. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and explained things clearly. There was plenty of parking on the ground floor, and the indoor pool was nice and a good length.
