Sure Hotel by Best Western Port Jérome - Le Havre

From the second floor, the views are beautiful, and most of the hotel looks new or recently refurbished. It brings a modern American hotel feel to a small French town. A bit more staff training in high quality service could make this a five star hotel across the board.

We were completely misled by the information online. The search listing said there was a lift, air conditioning in every room, and a restaurant, but the hotel had none of those. We rely on accurate details when travelling, especially since we are over 75 and had been travelling in hotter than average weather. My husband is over 80 and has a heart condition, so we needed those facilities. We made do, but Best Western should check that its online search information matches the facts. I’ll think twice about using them again if they can’t get that right.

The room looked out over a pasture full of horses, and the fan was much appreciated in the warm July weather. We arrived with a tandem bike, and the staff kindly found a safe place to store it indoors. Breakfast was a generous, appetizing buffet. We highly recommend the hotel for its helpful, friendly staff.

The outside looked pretty unkempt when we arrived, but once inside the stay was very pleasant. The night and morning receptionists were so nice and friendly. Our room was very clean and nicely presented, with everything we needed, including a kettle, TV, big comfortable beds, and a large bathroom. Breakfast was continental and had all you could need. We booked after reading reviews and would recommend staying here. We gave it 4 stars because it was so comfortable. A shout out to the lovely lady who runs it with her family.
