Le Mazagan

We ate at the restaurant on a sunny day and enjoyed the view. We ordered fish with rice and mashed carrot, as well as a burger, and the service was good.

For early risers, this restaurant area is a good choice since it opens really early. I stopped in at 6:30 for coffee and excellent orange juice. Service was good too. Recommended.

The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful every time. There’s a good choice of drinks, and the food was very good for the price, especially the set menus.

The service was frustrating too. We had to ask again for the three plates we’d requested, and there was no salt or pepper on the table, no extra bread, and no oil or vinegar. We’d come hoping for a traditional Moroccan meal and a lovely lamb tajin, but it was bland, with hardly any spices. It wasn’t hot or steamy and didn’t seem to have been cooked in the tajin. To me, it looked as though cheaper cuts of lamb and some vegetables had been boiled in a large pot, perhaps earlier in the morning, then put into a tajin with two plums and some almonds. The couscous, or semolina, was simply boiled without salt or anything else. It was the most disappointing meal we’d had in a long time. At 30 € for a lamb tajin, I regretted paying so much for food with so little quality. We were so put off that we didn’t even feel like ordering dessert.
