The owners are wonderfully kind and discreet, and I found the house really comfortable. It’s peaceful, with a garden, and the rooms have warm colors and little reminders of the past. Port-Lesney’s charming village has a river and a beach, plus restaurants and trails through the vineyards for walking or mountain biking. I really enjoyed my stays there.

The piano by the house entrance was a lovely surprise, and the cottage itself is quiet, comfortable, and beautifully renovated. I stayed with Philippe and Christelle during a study placement, and they’re such a welcoming, warm, charming couple. It’s right by a river. I’ll definitely come back ;)

It felt like we were being watched, and the welcome was lukewarm. The overnight stay was a bit expensive too. While we were out, the kettle started running! I suspect the owner came in to check for damage from our dog, which would be against the law. Apparently they count your dog’s poop as well. Be warned, and avoid this place!

A very comfortable, well-equipped cottage in a lovely setting near the Loue river. We were welcomed so warmly.
