Camping des Rives des Corbieres

We had such a calm, relaxing stay that we kept adding days until we really had to leave. The campsite is well placed for exploring and scenic bike rides straight from the site. Lucate Port is nearby, and the sea and sandy beach are a five-minute walk away. There’s also a pool on site. Most pitches have shade from a varied mix of mature trees, which was a real help in the hot weather, and fresh water points are spread conveniently around the grounds. The sanitary facilities are modern and well designed, though they don’t supply toilet seats, toilet paper, or soap. We also enjoyed relaxing at the chic cafe, where the staff were friendly and attentive. The staff throughout were helpful, always greeting us with a smile. A big thanks to them for making a difference. We highly recommend the campsite and will definitely come back.

We paid a deposit of over 300 Euro, and the mobile home already had several broken things when we arrived: chairs, a table, a bathroom wall, and gas problems. When we left, I asked reception if everything was okay, and they said yes. Two weeks later, they took money from the deposit and accused us of breaking something. Be careful with your deposit!

We stayed at this campsite with my girlfriend and our dog. The site itself was decent, but the checkout aftermath was really disappointing. They charged us an extra €49 for cleaning even though we left the mobile home in good condition. They hadn’t provided cleaning tools, and when we asked for proof it was dirty, they sent photos showing minor things, like one dog hair and an ashtray we’d missed. There was no clear mention of separate cleaning fees on the booking site or at reception. They also asked for another €7 for the dog, despite us checking in with him and having no issue at reception. I’ve traveled for 20 years and never had such unprofessional treatment. I’d urge future guests to be careful. Poor communication and a lack of transparency can mean unexpected charges and a ruined holiday.

The nearby beach is worth checking out, and the campsite itself has generally okay facilities. The showers were clean and the electricity hookups convenient. Still, it was seriously noisy, with a nightclub right in the middle of the campsite. The playground also needs fixing. I wouldn’t go back.
