The residence sits between the beach and the shops, so you can manage day to day without a car. My accommodation was ideally placed, and parking was included.

It feels a bit like staying with a friendly cousin. The Résidence Les Nefs des Sables isn't luxurious, but it feels like home pretty quickly. The place was clean, functional, and well-equipped, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver in summer. The pool was nice for a refreshing swim, and the residence was quiet, with the sea close by. Great for relaxing in the sun without spending a fortune on a hotel. A couple of things could be better. You can sometimes hear the neighbors through the walls, and the decor is looking dated, with a bit of a “France 98” feel. Parking can also be tricky in peak season.
We’ve been renting these little studios for several years and came back again in 2024. The residence is still very well maintained, and the caretaker is professional, helpful, and friendly. The apartments are pleasant, though the showers inside them are much too small. The sea is about 150 meters away. In 2024 the beach showers were still gone. Residents of Port Leucate said the mayor had removed them a few years earlier because of excessive water use. It’s a shame, since they’re handy after the beach. I’d have been willing to pay €1.50 per shower to help reduce water consumption.
The beaches were beautiful, but it was very windy where I stayed. The furniture in the residence also made a lot of noise.
Spent a great week just 20m from the beach.
