Sleeping in the street-facing room was impossible, it was so noisy. We skipped breakfast, especially with soggy bread left on the outdoor tables. The whole house smelled strongly of heating oil. Inside, our room was filthy with dust and cobwebs, and the shared bathroom was old, dirty, and clogged with hair. The toilets across the hall looked like they belonged to the 1950s, or even earlier. We’ve seen a lot, but places like this shouldn’t be allowed to operate. Even one star feels too generous. It was awful.

That quick glimpse of the lake was the only good part. The price is way too high for such an average room, especially with no running water, awful bedding, and a shared bathroom. The showerhead was very old and barely had any pressure. Breakfast was just three stale pieces of bread, a soggy croissant, and a mediocre orange juice, which I think was Oasis. We ate in a messy lounge while children watched TV. The owner's only morning greeting was, “You're early...”

It's now set up for groups on full board, with sports breaks for mountain biking, trail running, and other activities. The previous manager has left, and the property was completely renovated in 2020. It's no longer a self-catering cottage. A really top-notch place!

They wouldn't take credit cards, either. The house's surroundings were a filthy mess, with no lighting at night. The hygiene was appalling: dirty communal toilets and sheets, overflowing bins, dust everywhere, just basic cleaning, and broken bulbs. We were turned away for arriving 15 minutes before 5 pm, which was a rude welcome. At €85 for a room without a bathroom, the value for money was outrageous.

There was dust everywhere, and the colonial-style room was so cluttered that cleaning it properly seemed difficult. The toilet and shower curtain were very dirty and really needed regular bleaching. Breakfast was meager, too. For rooms with shared bathrooms, the price is too high. We wouldn't recommend this place.
