Hôtel Le Mirador

We’ll come back. The prices felt fair for the food and setting, and the wine list had some nice local options even though it wasn’t huge. The fish was cooked well and presented nicely; the burger was good, though the fries were nothing special. Service was friendly and quick, and there’s a varied menu with fish and daily specials. The restaurant sits on the ground floor and terrace of Hôtel Le Mirador, with the beach across the road, though the view isn’t completely clear. In season, there are other good places nearby too.

Breakfast was good, and the bathroom was clean, but room 21 smelled of damp, mold, and smoke. We kept the door open for hours and ran the AC, but the odor wouldn’t go away, and our belongings still smelled like the room the next day. We arrived in the evening and reception had closed by the time we noticed the problem. In the morning, reception blamed the smell on the wind, which wasn’t true and came across as a rehearsed answer. A few other guests said their rooms were fine. I hope room 21 gets redecorated soon.

The location is a little tucked away, but that’s part of its appeal. The staff were wonderful, the rooms looked good, and the food on site was good too. It’s a bit pricey, though the setting makes it worthwhile.

Clean, proper toilet facilities and a well-balanced menu with good food. The staff were great, and it’s right on the seafront, about 50 metres from the beach.
