The little garden with a barbecue was lovely, and the location was handy, within walking distance of la Citadele and a Hyper U supermarket. There was no aircon, just electric fans, and no mosquito screens on the windows. It was a tough choice between dealing with the heat or the mosquitos.

A good value for money. The apartment was recently refurbished, modern, and clean. From here it's a 10 min walk to the main bus stop for beach shuttles, and a large E Lerclerc supermarket is 5 min away on foot.

The apartment was dirty and run down, with a strong stale tobacco and musty smell from the moment we arrived. Outside, the place looked neglected and littered, more like a vacant lot or landfill than a holiday residence. In the first bedroom, there was a rusty fan covered in dust between the two beds meant for children. The master bedroom had stained sheets and questionable linens. The bathroom was just as bad: a dirty floor, dust bunnies, a tiny dilapidated shower, barely any water pressure, and a stained, damaged shower tray. My partner couldn't shower properly and had to soap up on the bath mat. The towels had blood stains. It all felt shoddy and makeshift. We were in Porto-Vecchio from September 14th to 19th. We picked up the keys at the accommodation on Sunday evening because reception was closed. The next morning, we went to reception to report the dirt, persistent smell, and stained linens and towels, which looked nothing like the website photos. The employee started out polite, then became indifferent and condescending. About the sheets, he said, “It’s not stains, it’s the washing machine… if you like, I’ll take you to the laundry room to choose your sheets.” We refused and asked for a proper cleaning. Instead, they immediately demanded the €8 tourist tax, without acknowledging the problems or offering any goodwill. When we got back that evening, nothing had been cleaned. The dust, sheets, and towels were still the same. The only attempted fix was an air freshener, which made the smell worse. After the establishment responded, I want to correct several things. I never criticized the self-check-in, only mentioned it. I complained about the neglected, dirty exterior and litter, not a lack of watering. At reception, we reported only the apartment, sheets, and towels. We never said anything about mattresses, bed frames, or "pets," so those claims are troubling. They never offered a full replacement of the linens, only the option to "choose our own sheets" in the laundry room. The response also said the cleaning lady ironed while "our children" were asleep, but we don't have children and there were only two of us. That means someone entered our apartment while we were away without consent, which is unacceptable. These contradictions add to the disappointment. We wanted honesty and a real gesture of goodwill, not inaccurate excuses. Corsica's landscapes were amazing, but this rental left us with a very bad memory.
