Lisa made a great impression from check-in right through to check-out. She was kind, helpful and gave us really useful advice. The other staff work so hard too, and I’d recommend this place to anyone after a simple getaway. The location worked well even though I can’t drive, since supermarkets are within walking distance. You do need a car to get around the island unless you just want to take a day trip to Bonifacio by bus. Local buses are free and get you to and from the port quickly, though some days the waits can be long. The rules were the one thing I struggled with. There are so many, they feel harsh and a bit like being treated as a child. Each one seems to come with a penalty, such as a 15 euro fine for not returning your key. I found that stressful and annoying on holiday. I understand some guests misbehave, and that the fines are meant as a reminder, but it still felt like too much.
